winding through the sweet air hills high on a cool breeze and shallow streams poems about skyrockets a story about passenger cars the last time I was a teenager you told me about the girl who wore the yellow vinyl coat I think her name was agnus it could have been yesterday that you told me we've gotten older but the songs still haunt us the songs still scare us the songs still keep us the same

the message seeps out from the scramble the diagnosis makes you seem like both burned ends of the candle you are the wicks that stick out superclean there was a womb that burned it's own then swore the house was not a home the message seeps out from the scramble the diagnosis makes you seem like both burned ends of the candle you are the wick that sticks out superclean

siren songs have become lullabies again in the silence share a peaceful voyage with the stolen star dream vehicle came to claim the fires we adore from across the shores oh vehicle, the air is warm and those siren songs will follow us home with hands held high atop a world that cannot calm the flames of our desires distant roads hold no sorrows we will find each other again just before the setting sun in all of our tomorrows oh vehicle, the air is warm

safe and sick of lightning a broader view dark and stormy visions for dark and stormy eyes a mermaid's wise tale of golden coins spread like seeds from sinking ships and starfish marching in single file to get a taste of sailor's cold cold skin and what remains is of no use like ghosts and words that fade in spring and what remains is of no use so kick it over and keep it down...

about

Despite being an experienced bassist and drummer by the time he was in his early teens, it was Colin Seven's writing that landed him the job/ subsequent prominence as lyricist and vocalist for the band Universal Order of Armageddon in 1992.

Although he appreciated the experience of being in a prolific touring band, chaotic vocalization was not his primary focus nor was it all he was up to musically at the time.

When his tenure as reluctant frontman ended in 1995, he quickly resumed drumming, spending the next decade playing in a slew of bands ranging in style from spacey dream pop to heavy psyche.
It was during this time he also began experimenting with songwriting, sometimes recording rough demos of his work using equipment borrowed from whatever band(s) he was playing with at the time.
After picking up the bass again in the early aughts, he further developed and refined his approach to expressing his own music.

Still active as a drummer (see: Rogue Conjurer, his current band with fellow Universal Order of Armageddon alumnus Tonie Joy) but also fluent in many other ways of creating sound, Colin Seven has now become an efficient solo musical unit.

This release, his first EP of completed work, represents many pinpoints on the map of his twenty five year musical journey.

It screams in a new way.
